Labastide-en-Val

Labastide-en-Val is a lovely medieval village only a few miles from our house, that offers visitors the chance to explore the breathtaking natural beauty of the region. One of the best ways to experience this beauty is by exploring the nearby river.

The river that runs through Labastide-en-Val is perfect for a leisurely paddle or swim on a hot summer day. There are bridges set out on the crystal clear waters. As you paddle, you'll be surrounded by lush greenery, towering cliffs, and stunning rock formations.

If you're more of a land lover, there are plenty of hiking trails that follow the river's winding path through the surrounding countryside. These trails offer fantastic views of the river and the surrounding landscapes, as well as opportunities to spot local wildlife like birds of prey and small mammals.

Our dog loves the river and it’s hard to get him away after a days swimming.
